Eddy Marchetti your osteopath for infertility, pregnancy and infancy
As an osteopath for babies in Monaco, I support the healthy development of your newborn by treating its various disorders: colic, skull deformities, sleep disorders, ENT problems, etc. Pregnant women can also benefit from osteopathic treatment before, during and after pregnancy to help prepare them, relieve back pain and optimise recovery. Osteopathic treatment during pregnancy is all the more beneficial for the harmonious development of the foetus.
Osteopath for pregnant women
The conception of an embryo, the development of a pregnancy and childbirth are major challenges in the life of a woman and her couple.
It is therefore important to seek support, particularly through osteopathic treatment.
Osteopathic care is provided in three stages:
before pregnancy
Osteopathy, by working mechanically on the visceral, vascular and hormonal systems, can increase the likelihood of becoming pregnant if you are experiencing difficulties (see paragraph on infertility below).
during pregnancy
Pregnancy monitoring involves working on the mechanical tensions caused by the development of the foetus and the baby’s weight gain. These tensions are mainly in the ligaments of the uterus, the fascias of the visceral system and the mechanics of the pelvis.
The aim of these manipulations is to relieve the mother-to-be of lower back pain, sciatica and digestive problems, but also to ensure that the foetus feels well, can move and develop properly. At the end of pregnancy, it is important to work on the mechanics of the pelvis and perineum in preparation for childbirth.
after pregnancy
Childbirth is a physical and psychological ordeal for a woman’s body. The osteopath’s work will mainly be based on reharmonising the pelvis and visceral system, and preparing for perineal re-education in collaboration with our physiotherapist specialising in perineal and urogenital re-education.
osteopathy to combat infertility
If you are having difficulty conceiving even though the medical examinations of both partners are normal and do not reveal the cause of your infertility, osteopathy can help.
Like every organ, the pelvic organs (uterus and ovaries) have ligament attachments, innervation and vascularisation.
Ligament tensions in the sacrum, coccyx, uterus or ovaries can disrupt mobility, vascularisation and therefore the proper functioning of the reproductive organs. In this case, the uterus will not be ready to receive an embryo and will therefore be evacuated.
By manipulating these areas to release the tension, the uterus will regain good mobility and a better blood supply. The uterus will therefore be in better condition to receive the embryo and allow it to develop.
This will give you every chance of conceiving your future baby.
In the long term, these tensions are also often the cause of endometriosis, which promotes infertility. These manipulations also aim to revive pelvic mechanics to reduce the pain of endometriosis and/or menstruation.
Osteopath For babies
It is very important to consult an osteopath for babies during the first few months of life. This ensures optimal development and avoids future complications during growth. The course of childbirth will influence the way your newborn is cared for. Duration, trauma, caesarean section, epidural, use of forceps or suction cups… That’s why I will first carry out an assessment to gather as much information as possible about the birth and your baby’s daily life.
Many disorders can be treated by me.
colic
regurgitation and other digestive problems
sleep problems
skull deformities
torticollis or malpositioning of a body part
ear infections and other ENT problems...
Osteopathic sessions for babies are as gentle as possible. The manipulations are adapted to the baby, without any cracking or strong pressure. No pain is felt, and advice can be given to you before you go home.
deformation of the skull in infants
Newborn babies often have a deformed skull, also known as plagiocephaly. This is due to the fact that babies’ skulls are very malleable and flexible, especially in the fontanelles, located between the bony parts.
Plagiocephaly is often caused by childbirth, or by repeated positioning at home. During your consultation with your osteopath for babies, after the manipulations, we will study together the different factors that can influence the position of your newborn: orientation of the bed, location of mobiles or light sources, position when carrying or feeding, etc.
